Build Your Southern Utah Route

Use East Zion, Orderville or Kanab as your base, then connect Zion, Bryce Canyon, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, White Pocket and Page, Arizona for Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend.

East Zion

Use East Zion and Orderville for guided UTV rides, private-access slot canyons, rappelling and via ferrata climbing. Choose by trip length, minimum age and the level of challenge your group wants.

Kanab Tours

Use Kanab as a base for Peek-a-Boo Slot Canyon, the Great Chamber, horseback riding and guided trips toward White Pocket. It is also a practical base between Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon North Rim.

Bryce Canyon

Pair a Bryce Canyon National Park day with a guided UTV overlook, slot-canyon hike, rappelling trip or sunset stargazing experience in the surrounding Bryce area. ROAM tours meet outside the national park.

Adventure awaits you.

Sample Southern Utah Itineraries

3 DAYS — Zion, East Zion & Bryce
Spend one day in Zion National Park, one day with ROAM in East Zion, and one day in Bryce Canyon.

5 DAYS — Zion, East Zion, Kanab & Bryce
Give Zion two days, then plan one East Zion adventure day, one Kanab day and one Bryce Canyon day.

7 DAYS — Add Page & White Pocket
Keep the five-day core, then use one day for a reserved Antelope Canyon tour and Horseshoe Bend from Page. Give day seven to White Pocket or Grand Staircase–Escalante.

Use these as flexible route frameworks. Permits, weather, seasonal park access, drive time and unpaved road conditions can change the plan. Last reviewed October 2026.

Southern Utah Trip Planning FAQs

HOW MANY DAYS DO I NEED FOR ZION, BRYCE AND KANAB?
Five days gives you a comfortable first trip. Three days can work at a faster pace; seven lets you add Page, White Pocket or Escalante.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?
Orderville or East Zion works well between Zion’s east side and US-89. Kanab is a strong base for Peek-a-Boo, the Great Chamber, horseback riding and White Pocket. Stay in Page when Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend or Lake Powell is the next day’s priority.

CAN FAMILIES AND BEGINNERS JOIN?
Many ROAM experiences welcome first-timers. Minimum age, fitness and terrain vary, so confirm details on each tour page.

ARE ROAM TOURS INSIDE NATIONAL PARKS?
ROAM guides adventures in the surrounding Southern Utah and northern Arizona landscapes. Tours do not operate inside national parks; each tour page lists the exact meeting point.

HOW SHOULD I PLAN WHITE POCKET?
Treat White Pocket as a dedicated full day from the Kanab area. Roads and weather can change quickly, so use an experienced guide and check current conditions.

CAN I VISIT ANTELOPE CANYON AND HORSESHOE BEND IN ONE DAY?
Yes. Reserve an authorized Navajo-guided Antelope Canyon tour first, then allow 60–90 minutes for Horseshoe Bend. From Las Vegas, organized day trips often run 13–14 hours; staying in Page or Kanab creates a better-paced route.

Plan Your Southern Utah Adventure

Build a smarter trip through Zion, Bryce Canyon, Kanab, East Zion, Page, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, White Pocket, Grand Staircase–Escalante and the Grand Canyon region with local guidance from ROAM.

Go Beyond the Parks

Add Page, Arizona and remote desert landscapes to your route. These trips need reserved tours, extra drive time, early starts and a fresh check of road and weather conditions.

Grand Staircase–Escalante

Plan a full or half day for Grand Staircase–Escalante slot canyons and backcountry hiking. Choose your route around weather, road conditions, drive time and your group’s hiking ability.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes

Add Coral Pink Sand Dunes when your group wants a shorter UTV adventure between Kanab and East Zion. Sand conditions change with weather, so choose an experience that matches your group.

Page: Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend

Reserve an authorized Navajo-guided Antelope Canyon tour, then allow 60–90 minutes for the self-guided Horseshoe Bend overlook. From Las Vegas this is a very long day; Kanab or Page makes a better overnight base.
